This Roman gold ring was found by our resident metal detectorist. It has a bright green glass bezel setting, probably 3rd-4th century. It’s not everyday you find a gold artefact! #doingthegolddance

I discovered this Bronze Age double horse burial at the bottom of a deep pit. Incredible to think how they got them down there, and why?

This lovely prehistoric arrowhead was found early on in our excavations. A good sign of things to come.
